Is there a doctor in the house ?

Everybody was Kung Fu fighting

In case you're wondering, No. This is not a scene from Shaolin soccer or Kung Fu panda. This is an extremely common and ordinary scene that happened & will happen every 3 seconds in Tonight's Champions League clash between the Catalan giants Barcelona, and the Trojan horse of the competition Atletico Madrid.

Get ready for more than just bumps and bruises, random flying tackles, and cards everywhere. This is going to be one hell of a battle.

PS : I hope Sanchez is given the 90 minutes he deserves. and I'm going for a 2-0 win for Barcelona (depending on the Costa situation)

Cometh the moment cometh the man

There can be only one
After all the stress, all the build up and all the negativity surrounding this team, Once again all doubters were silenced (me included).

It appears that this team (as I stated before) has an undying love for big games. No matter who the opponent, no matter the circumstances, the magical midgets always come through.

Iniesta : The ability to turn football into art, to be able to dance on fire, to dribble and glide past world class players as if they were mere children. When trying to stop you is like chasing a shadow. You know that we are talking about Don Andres Iniesta. What can be said about his game ? Flawless, absolutely flawless.

Messi : I will not say anything regarding this man, Everything has already been said. Simply the absolute best.

Note : As for the crying white ones, If you cry when you are gifted a ghost penalty, aside from an uncalled penalty for Neymar + and when every decision that went against you was just and by the rules. You are a genuine Madridista, Simply pathetic. grow up and be as graceful as your coach.

Thank you Tata
Thank you Messi
Thank you Andres & the rest.
Thank you Fc Barcelona

And they're back

What in the world happened ? Is this the same dead beat team that lost in the league ? The team that lost motivation, the game and possibly La Liga ? How can embarrassment turn to perfection in just under 3 days ?

1- This team's greatest strength  is also it's Achilles heel. It's the ability to self motivate. The bigger the game the better the performance. Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Milan and now Man City. The performances in these games were worthy of the title "best team in the world". The passing, dribbling, finishing and tactics were all perfect. The biggest teams in Europe were outplayed and outclassed everywhere on the pitch. At least until now, big games are matter of pride.

2- Now let's look at it the other way around. Whenever a team of smaller stature faces Barcelona, the team expects the opponent to just roll over and lose just because..... well, "we are Barcelona" and we have "more possession". And when that so called "small team" scores, the team becomes shell shocked as this isn't supposed to happen in the scenario the players had in their heads. Keep in mind that some of those teams are not actually weak or small. To underestimate Valencia and Real Sociedad is foolish to say the least.

One thing is for sure, this team still has what it takes to win something at the end of the season, But if they rest on their laurels they are digging their own grave.

Where it all went wrong

drown our sorrows in wine, good idea.
What in the world happened to Fc Barcelona ? To the one of the best teams in history ? how can a team go from the most dominant force in football history to one of the laughable & comic big teams in Europe ? well, here's your guide to the destruction of beauty, aka Fc Barcelona.

As the picture suggests, we are being led by a clueless people. People whose sole purpose is to destroy the legacy left by others & to create their own legacy from the wreckage.

1-The coach : Laporta's decision to hire an unknown/inexperianced Pep Guardiola was a bold and risky choice, one that could have backfired badly. It didn't, and it resulted in the most successful footballing era's in history. But to re-attempt that risk, not once but twice. Rosell didn't shoot himself in the foot. He shot himself straight in the face right between the eyes. Tito won the league, But it wasn't due to our performances alone, but due to Madrid's and Mou's performances. we were ripped to shreds by big teams ( Madrid & Bayern). To take that same risk with Tata is just plain stupid.
Tata is a good coach who took over a crumbling project, but we are yet to see his "touch" on the team. whether he is good enough or not remains to be seen.

2- The transfers : much has been said regarding this subject, but there just doesn't seem to be a specific plan of any sort whatsoever. Ever since the signing of Villa, every decision we made was plain wrong. we suffer in defence (Puyol's age/injuries), what do we do ? we sign Alex Song, a defensive midfielder. Our defence suffers even more (The unfortunate illness of Abidal ), we sign Alexis Sanchez, a player lacking in confidence forward who rarely creates something out of nothing. and Alba (a defender, YAAAAAY.....not) a leftback who is absolutely devastating going forward, masking his biggest flaw, his awful defending. You can't replace one of the best defensive leftbacks in the world (Abidal) with Alba. Specially when your other fullback is called Dani Alves. one of the most attacking fullbacks ever. Two attacking fullbacks just offset the defensive Balance. And when the defence hit rock bottom (Pique's comical free fall) we signed Neymar (will have his own post). In short, our transfers are made by blind & drunk monkeys.

3- La Masiya : The million dollar question, has the well dried up ? did the production line finally stop ? to put it simply : NO ! It never did & it never will. Where is the Talent you ask ? well, thanks to our management/ board (whoever you want to blame) La Masiya is producing it's magic for other teams. When Pep opted to use Busquets in place of an IN-FORM Yaya Toure, And gave the likes of Pedro tons of playing time in a front line that consists of  Messi, Ibra, Eto'o, Henry & Villa (legends of the game), it gives off a certain message to all the youngsters, a message called ( I BELIEVE IN YOU). But When Tito decides to play Adriano at center back instead of your product, who's wanted all around Europe (Bartra), a natural CB, you take that youngster's confidence shatter it to pieces. Your midfield is suffering an injury crises, and you opt to play all off form players instead of one of the most coveted youngsters, the gem of La Masiya & the future best midfielder in the world (Thiago ). Not only that, But you send your next Messi, and your best young midfielder by far who is already rocking La Liga ( Delofeu & Rafinha) out on loan. That gives off the wrong message, the ( YOU'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH & WE DON'T NEED YOU) message. We have been ungrateful towards our greatest treasure. we are just inviting others to poach them ( expect a new Wenger raid).

4- Neymar & his case : much has been expected of the Brazilian, Sometimes he impresses, sometimes he doesn't. but his suffering comes from a fault not of his own. He is just 22, and the amount of pressure he suffers is unbearable. And the one who should be blamed is the clown called Rosell. Simple, If you feel the need to hide the details of a certain, chances are you are doing something WRONG. If you over payed for a player, Man up and face the consequences. You don't create controversy and then run away like a coward. Madrid signed Bale for 100 mil, and they stated that with pride. We pay 57/68/87/108 for the worlds most coveted player and we are ashamed ? Simply put, this entire piece of business is destroying one of the most electrifying players. let's hope he gets over it.

5- Hunger : the most important aspect of a footballer, even more important than talent. Our players are human after all, and are bound to lose their hunger for success and take everything for granted. I mean for the love of god, Xavi has won more titles than Real Madrid in the past 10 years, even more than Chelsea in their entire freaking history.  There comes a time where change is needed, you can't rest on your laurels in the football world. Just look at Milan & Inter. they relied on their past success and ended up in shambles. It's time to move on.

In conclusion : If no election is held in the summer and no major overhaul is done to the squad. We're in for an awful couple of years. As for this season, don't get your hopes up because things will get worse after a Champion's League elimination or a final defeat from Real Madrid.
